When I have felt really low I have found that site so useful but have found it hard to take the step that's so difficult to take when you're in that head-space. What I wanted to do is create a place with an initial take similar to the "Read it first" piece here. Eventually hoping to collate that into next steps. Especially of online or text help that can be done in the moment.
Things can then be subdivided further and longer term help can be signposted to. It seems to me that we are reaching crisis point, with people really needing this form of primary mental health triage. However it's just not available at the moment.
Mental Health care in the United Kingdom is a complete farce. It is a postcode lottery of services and -however much I hate the fact that this sort of thing has to be done and that there isn't proper provision within the UK NHS at present- I aim to provide an accessible collection of the help that is out there and actions that can be taken within the state, charity and voluntary sectors.
People are dying because of ignorance, those who are in so much pain they feel that the only way to ease it is to end their lives. The loss of these people is palpable. You matter, It does get better, it does get easier and depression does lie; tell us that the world would be better without us, and that life will never be more than the pain that it currently is.
Don't give up, read the site I signposted to in the last post, please read it if you are feeling bad.
It's helped me many times and I hope it will help you.
